In my last message I told you I was a stay home mom, married to my high school sweetheart with three kids living in Las Vegas NV. Most of everything has stayed the the same. I am still married to my high school sweetheart John Clanton going on 12 years. We have three amazing blonde haired blue eyed boys. Jeremy 11 yrs, Shawn 8 yrs, Ryan is 5 years. While I was staying home with my kids I somehow managed to lose track of how much weight I was gaining. So I one day get on the scale and see that I was a whole 265 lbs!! So to make a long story short I went from a size 26 to 10!! And no this isn't a Jenny Craig story. I did it all myself and now I am a faithful member of 24hr Fitness so don't mess with me because I can kick your butt! just kidding!! Hope you all are doing well and we will see at the next reunion!

I have been Working for Caltrans since 1998 as a Transportation Engineer, 7 years in Design, 2 years in Construction, 6 months in Program/Project Management, and now in Traffic Operations. Some of you guys might remember my twin Brother, Gerardo ("Jerry"), he is doing good. Carlos Mercado keeps in contact from Albuquerque, N.M. Here is a shout-out to rest of the gang (Ruben, Giovanni, Ralph, Juan-Carlos, Javier (Meme), etc, etc, etc,) that I see on very rare occasion.

My current home is in Seattle, where I am a Resident Physician at the University of Washington in the Urology program and am now completing the general surgery part of my training. Amanda Jukich (now Salazar, CPHS '89, SDSU, '94 and '95) is managing our home in my relative absence, and my boys, Jakob (7) and Lucas (4), seem to prefer the West Coast to living in New England.

- Message: Since none of the local Universities would accept me here for drug abuse, I decided to attend a small polytechnical school in Mexico City. This is the same school who invented your color T.V. and gave High Definition T.V. the reputation it has now (I should know, I was part of the research). There I met my good friend Ibis and decided to start a small "Latin"-based web site which was sold to Starmedia and me, I made nothing. So with the help of Cartel money, high school drop-outs, and Bambi Club patrons I have developed this web site which represents a little bit of "the lighter note" with acid. Hopefully many of you can remember my "lighter note" lampooning the likes of many of our beloved teachers and students. As people clicked on the web page, it grew more and more. It has taken a life on it's own, having collaborators from all over Latin America. I can't actually control the content, but hey, that's show business. Anyways, I'm only doing this on my spare time (besides freelance writing and poetry). I'm currently designing Gas Turbines for General Electric...(we bring good thing to life). I currently live in Mexico but have another home in Rancho de Oro. Please, don't bother me, I life a solitary life. - Message: Update June 5, 2006. Greetings my fellow alumni! It's been three years since I updated all that's going on so now I have time. First of all, I told several people that I had a 15 yr reunion planned. I had the itinerary and planned it all out, just needed the committee--but kid #2 came and these plans didn't come into fruition. So I must apologize to all of you. This is my story: I'm enjoying my new job description: Stay home momma! Miguel and I have two kids a girl and boy, (and they are the reasons for the change in the job description) Henna Angelina 12 mos and Julian 2.5 yrs, respectively. After the birth of Henna, I realized working fulltime really compromised on my quality time with the kids. I want to see Henna take her first steps, say her first words, and funky things toddlers do that make parents crack up, whip out a camcorder and email it to friends. We are also raising both kids bilingual English-Spanish (I've been speaking Spanish since the first class I took with Mrs. Lasley--and it's paid off, I'm fluent, well in combination of working with Spanish speaking clientele in all my jobs). With this change of lifestyle came a change in environment: we sold the house in San Diego and relocated to San Antonio, TX (secondary affect from having K.I.D.S.). We absolutely LOVE it here. I thought Mig would freak, since he's lived his whole life in SD, but no. We don't want to go back. We miss our family, friends, THE CARNE ASADA FRIES....but do not miss the fast-pace, increased crime, increased traffic, pay a fat mortgage lifestyle. It is so laid back in San Antonio. I'm in My space so look me up. I just hope the next time I update here that I don't report a kid #3!

- Message: ...And so out of the woodwork I come. Hi everyone! Well, I didn't know this website existed until Chuck Brewer told me about it so sorry I missed any reunions. I would have loved to get caught up with you all. I have only recently started using Facebook and that is how I came across some of the alumni. Give me an email if you want to get caught up but for now the movie trailer version is...Somehow stumbled onto SDSU and managed out a B.A. with the thought of going into some type of business. Hated school, like to learn but not the tests, and wanted to just get it done (just like high school). Worked full time during college at the Marriott Hotel and Marina in Loss Prevention. After graduating I got picked by Ace and did the management thing for a few years. Followed some friends into sales at various companies last one of which was Allegiance Telecom. Liked the fat commission but hated the lack of warm and fuzzy. Went into education in 2001 to change the world. Got the credential and did what anyone else who hated school would do...I continued on and got my M.Ed. I have been brainwashing your children ever since. On the personal side I have recently created a midget named Kai who was born on May 22, 2008. It is pretty crazy and joyful all at the same time, but then those of you who are already parents know this. =) Now drop me a line and let me know what you have been up to since 1990. Thanks.

- Message: Wow, it's been a long time since I last visited this site! Here's the summarized update for 2005: No longer married, no kids, have a boyfriend and 3 dogs, own a house in El Cajon and I am the happiest I have ever been. After being laid off from Sony in 2003, I took a 9 month vacation (ahhhh), and then I accepted a job with LG MobileComm in Scripps Ranch, where I ran into CP alumni James de Jesus (who works for their HR department). Now I work for Remec Microwave division as a manufacturing engineer. It's good to see updated posts from Cyndi Scanlon and Shannon Hamilton - I haven't talked to you two in a long time! Shannon, it's good to hear you and John are still together! I hope everyone else is doing well and leading happy lives.
