- Message: Hello All! I am living in Chula Vista with my husband and two boys, Samuel (9) born 1999 and Lucas (5) born in 2003. Yes, I have young kids...Although, I've been married for 15 years, we didn't decide to have kids until I was 35, my second when I turned 40! If Madonna did it, why not me? My husband is terrific, brilliant and tremendously funny. Our favorite movie is Nacho Libre and we quote it ALL THE TIME. Prior to kids, we had time to travel to different parts of the world, Tahiti, Africa, and of course, Mexico. My husband was a partner in a travel company during that time. So, when is our next reunion? Who's in charge? Let me know, I'd love to help.

- Message: Hello Fellow Trojans -- Well, I decided to get married again last year (March 3, 2007) and I love it! We don't have any kids (yet) but we hope to in the near future. I've had quite a journey since my last posting.
In 2004, I left SD to live in Orlando, FL but that didn't last long and so I left and drove by myself cross country and went to live with my sister Joanne and her family in Los Alamos, New Mexico. Very different world and much slower pace than San Diego but a great place to do a lot of soul searching. However, I decided to come back home to SD in 2005 and returned to work at UC San Diego. I'm now a Human Resources Analyst and part of my job is doing outreach & recruiting for staff and I love my job! So I can finally say at 45 that I'm finally happy and have found balance...hope all of you are well. By the way, GO CHARGERS!!!Susan Ferguson (now House)

- Message: Well, Hi, y'all!! After attending SDSU for a little over two years, I decided I would like to start a family with a cute little filly from San Diego that I met through my sister. We sprouted three kids (Heather '84, Amanda '86 and Joey '91) while I worked at places like Home Federal (defunct), PSA (defunct), and Great American Federal (defunct). I kind of got the hint that everywhere I worked was going to go in the tank!! (lol) When Wells Fargo took over GAF, we started to set our eyes on Tennessee. Moved there in '91, and landed in Atlanta a couple months later working for a company based in ... Los Angeles!! After we moved the computer center from Atlanta to LA, I thought long and hard about moving back to So. Cal. Took me all of about 3 minutes to decide to stay in the southeast. Then I worked as a consultant for a LARGE telecomm company, and finally to where I am now - at a major manufacturing company in Georgia. I get to play with new technology all day, direct the technology & standards for 10,000 computer users, and have a staff of about 90 people. My kids are now growing up more every time I turn around - two daughters in high school (both on the girls' varsity soccer team), and a son in grade school (third year in little league baseball) I never ended up pursuing my 'dream career', mostly because there was no money in it. But I have to say, I have REALLY been blessed in the 20 years since leaving CPHS. I am doing things I never thought I would be in to, as I am sure most of us are. I will leave you with this: Life always has something around the next corner to try and knock you off your feet, but it's how you get back up and brush yourself off and then stare life right back in the eye that builds your character. For anyone who has never been in rodeo, when a cowboy gets thrown from his mount (a horse or bull), and lands hard - you will hear the phrase 'Cowboy up'. A phrase of encouragement and challenge to yourself or to someone else, that says 'You get up, no matter how badly beaten, and go at it again.' Now, Set your eye on the goal, and always say, 'Cowboy up!'

- Message: I've lived in the South Bay since graduating. We're in Bonita now. I've been married to Roy Seydel (BVHS '76) for 17 years. We have 4 kids ages 7,9,13,15. My son just got his driving permit and that really makes me feel old! I teach my kids at home and I'm a teacher at our school in El Cajon. I used to be an "All Star" with our Disco clothes, and now I laugh as those hideous clothes come back in style. I think that if I could describe myself in High School in just one word, it would be "brat". I'm older (and wiser?) now, so I'm not as much of a brat, but I still have a very feisty streak in me. I became a Christian when I was 19, and my life totally changed. Everything that I wanted in life suddenly changed. My dreams and goals were redirected. My life is not what I thought it would be. It's a lot better than I could have ever expected! I've had a lot of difficult things happen in my life, but I've come through ok because I have Christ at my side. Honestly, I don't know how I would have ever made it without Him! I'll be at the reunion with my husband. If you ever went to Taco Bell on 3rd Avenue while we were in High School, you may know my husband. His name is Roy. He was the really nice guy that worked there! We'd see him on Tuesday nights when we went to TB after All Star practice. He went to Bonita Vista High School, but we can't hold that against him. I'll see you in August! : ) S u e ( :
