  I keep myself pretty busy w/ work at Southwestern College, finishing up my Masters Degree at the University of Phoenix (in December--YES!!), and full-time single mom to my beautiful 6-yr old daughter, Elena. (how time flies!!!) It's great to come to this website and see how everyone is doing. I'm also looking forward to the Mega Millennium Reunion in October and all future reunions. I'd love to hear from old friends, especially those that were unable to attend our 20th.

• Message: Hello to all my friends from Castle Park! I moved from California in 1982 to the Deep South (bordering Mississippi/Louisiana) and really miss not getting to see my friends over the years. I married a U.S. Marine from Camp Pendleton over 25 years ago (June 1981). Kenny and I have 3 children, Ryan, (born 1986) who plays trumpet just like his mom, Ariel (born 1988) and Courtney (born 1993). Ryan and Ariel both attend LA Tech University. Ryan's major is Graphic Design and Ariel's is Elementary Education. My husband is
  the Financial Counselor at our local hospital. I worked for 15 years in newspaper advertising, and then decided to fulfill my dream and work with children (as it says with my yearbook picture!). I mostly worked with first
  graders, and I learned Braille so I could be a child specific aide until an autoimmune condition caused me to stop working in 2003. Oh, and I'm a proud breast cancer survivor (June 1995). I had a GREAT time at both reunions and have made only one other "too short" trip back to California since I left - last summer (2006). Rosemary Woodbury, Bonita (Johnston) DeAmicis, Tom Bane and I had a mini reunion. I would love to hear from old friends. Bye y'all!

• Message: 20 years since High School - that reality is a bit overwhelming. Let's see If I can fill you all in regarding the last 10 at least. I'll try not to bore you. I'm currently teaching health, and fitness classes at Southwestern and Cuyamaca Colleges in the San Diego area. I've been happily together with a wonderful partner for the past 10 years. We don't have children, but we do have a great dog named Sasha. We love to travel, bike, camp, and putz in the yard. Well, that's it. I'm anxious to see all of the old gang just to see how many people I can't recognize anymore.... I'll be the one with the GREY hair!! Will I be alone?

• Message: Hey Class of 1979!! Have earned a BS in Forestry (1982) and Science Education (1989), and an MS in Education (1995). I am currently teaching science at Bend Senior High in Bend, Oregon. (Thanks Olmos Marquez!) Married since 1993 to a wonderful art teacher. Have taught science for 16 years. Have fought forest fires and worked with the Youth Conservation Corps program with the USDA Forest Service for 18 summers. Have a wonderful step-son, Joe who is 23 and working on his architectural degree. Have turned into a pretty darned good harmonica player. Work at the local hospital in the admitting dept. Been there now 4 years. Before that I worked for Bank of America and transfer here from San Diego. I'm an avid soccer player and have been playing year round for the last 14 years. I coach ayso soccer every fall. In addition, I am very competitive in Dog sports. My border collie competes in Agility and is on the Orange Crush Flyball team. We don't plan on having children and instead enjoy keeping busy with our three dogs and traveling.

• Message: Hi Classmates! Sending an update as of Oct. 2005. Well, I'm still living in North County, since 1986, still in the same house (not by choice). Married 24 years, how time flies. Our two boys are nearly grown now, Shane, 20, and Danny, 17, seems hard to believe. Life is just as busy or busier though. I now work days at Tri-City Medical Center (got off that night shift finally) but have since decided to pursue an RN degree -- while working full-time, hectic yes, but I keep pluggin away, half-way done at least with the general ed classes, nursing school yet to come. We still try to travel when possible at least to the River over summer and ATVing at the Dunes in Buttercup. AL's new independent (bread) distributor position keeps him close to home, but we're hoping that will change soon. Would love to hear from any '77-'80 classmates. Perhaps I'll see you at the 30th!

• Message: After graduating Cal Poly in 1985, I married John Porras, a 1977 graduate of Montgomery H.S. Through a series of job moves we've lived in Denver, Cleveland and finally back to Denver. In those years we had three children, Ashley, Danielle and Aaron. I hope that this a permanent move since Colorado is a beautiful place to raise a family! We visit the family in S.D. once in a while and now that we are closer, they come to see us. John works for Lockheed Martin and I have decided to pursue a retail career with Colorado's first Nordstrom. We invite anyone visiting Denver to look us up. • Message: Hard to beleive that it has been twenty years since graduation. I have been married for 10 years to the finest person I have ever met. We have been living in Solana Beach for the past 6 years, and enjoy the beach area in north county. I have never moved away San Diego. We recently purchased a home in Encinitas, It is a "fixer-upper". I enjoy working on the house and seeing it all come together just the way we like it. I am a Deputy Sheriff and have been working for the department for over 8 years now. I work in a specialized unit and I also teach at the Sheriff's Academy. I still hang out with Andy Eisan, He is my friend of over 31 years. I think about the class of 79' and it brings back memories good and not-so-good. But it made me a better person today. My husband, Max has multiple myeloma (a blood cancer), is in remission for the second time! I still am working at Sharp Rees-Stealy in the eye dept, have been there 11yrs!
