- Message: Hello from Colorado! I have been married to Rob Taylor for 20 years. I met Rob at Southwestern College where we were both majoring in music. I switched to an Early Childhood Development major. We married and moved to Colorado and when we got here I went to Cosmetology school. I use all three career choices since we have 4 daughters, 17,16,13, and 9. We all enjoy music and do a lot of singing together. Rob accompanies us on whatever instrument we need. We perform at coffee houses and acoustic music events. It is a lot of fun. I love my job of being mom and Susie Homemaker. Rob has two Chick-fil-A restaurants and I help him there when needed and do hair out of my home. For those of you who remember my mom she is living here in Colorado Springs too. Would love to hear from long ago (sounds better than "old") friends.

I have 3 beautiful daughters (Cynthia 23, Wendy 21, Amanda 19 and mother of my only grandson) My grandson is Nikolas Paul Mielak and he is almost 4 months old now. I am very happy to have him in my life. I worked at Boll Weevil for a few years way back and I have worked as an operator for an answering service for about 6 years and then switched jobs to become an employee of Continental Data Graphics which did not work out. Now I am in school and studying hard. I have been studying accounting for a couple of years and I am attempting to learn Loan processing in my new job. Hopefully it will be a success. I still live in the house that I grew up in. I am very glad to have been told of this website and hello to all.

When I returned from college in 1979, finding anyone from our class was next to impossible, so I entered into the field of law enforcement and lo and behold, found several of our classmates all nice and tucked in their bunks. I've been with the Sheriff's Dept. for about 19 yrs. I'm currently in charge of our Special Investigations Unit. I married my college sweetheart (Diane, class of '76-Hiltop). We've been married for 21 yrs. Yes, sex is great after 40. You learn to slow down and take it all in. We have two great kids, Nicole is 20 and has started a singing career in L.A.. Joshua is 16 and attends CVHS. Besides my job, I teach Juvenile Justice and Gang Prevention at SDSU and at several local H.S.'s. Its been fun, a lot of ups and downs, but you must walk through the valley to enjoy the peak. ONE LOVE!!!! Stay safe and happy. Chambers out.

- Message: I'm married to Bryan, whom I married 4 years after high school. We have four children ranging from 18 years old to 6 years old (in 2001). We moved from San Diego to Washington State in 1990, but returned to Chula Vista in 2000. We miss the Northwest beauty and our home out in the country on some land, but we really missed the weather, family, and many dear friends here, so it was time to come "home". I work part time at Arroyo Vista Elementary School as a LEP Aid working with students for whom English is a second language and I also spend a couple of hours monitoring the children at lunch and recess. The rest of my time is spent being a wife and mother, which I love. Our oldest son, Jeremy, is currently attending Southwestern College, while the next two youngest, Chris and Bryn, attend Eastlake High, and our youngest, Josiah, goes to Arroyo Vista Elementary. Chris is a Junior and is a strong wrestler, having taken 2nd place in Metro and 7th at CIF as a Sophomore. He also enjoys playing lacrosse on the school team. Bryn is on the girls' Freshman volleyball team. We are also very involved at Paseo Del Rey Church. It was great to see those who came out for the 25th reunion. - Message: Hi! Wow - this is bizarre; stepping into this piece of the past. I've been living here in Forest Grove, OR, (30 mi. W of Portland) since fall of '91. It's been a great place to raise my kids - on the old Kane 17-acre homestead, just outside of this great college town. Sam is finishing up his sophomore year at OSU in Corvallis, and Rebecca is graduating this year from the local high school. Both with honors. Both just awesome, responsible, loving, human beings! I married (#2) Gary, a local musician/RN in '95, who keeps us laughing. People come up to him to tell him he looks like Harrison Ford. Lucky me, eh? Actually, he's the lucky one. :o) A lot of music and fun in this household. I had finished a B.A. in psych at SDSU (journalism minor - I've always loved to write, and am published). I got my master's in counseling psychology up here. I love working in a high school! I enjoy it more than when I was attending as a student - high school can be a mixed bag, as many of us know. I occasionally come across JoAnne Higginbotham in my dreams. Would love to know how she is....anybody know? It was great to read your profiles - folks I remember. If I get another turn at the computer (It's currently beckoning to the teen in the house) I will write to somebody!

I have visited places such as Germany, Belgium, Austria and Hawaii. I am a Senior Personnel Management supervisor working with the latest personnel automated software for the military. What can I say? I love traveling! Maybe that's why I enjoyed the Marching band trips in high school. As my children get older though, I think that maybe it's time to settle down in one place and let them grow up without having to move so much. I still enjoy playing USTA tennis and doing fun stuff with my family. Okay something new here Don't be afraid to have fun with life. Look up old friends and catch up on old times. - Message: I everyone from class of 76. I just found the site. I am a single mom with a 17 year old son who attends CPHS. He will be in the graduating class of 2007, my son (Saul) finds it a bit weird that he is going to the same school that his mother graduated in back almost 30 years ago. I work at a local used car dealership where I pretty much run the place. Hope we have our 30th class reunion!!

- Message: Jan 06 2003: Still married (24 years this past Nov) to Penny and we have three kids (James, 16 ... Kelly,12 ... Tina 9). We moved to East Providence, Rhode Island this past summer (July 2002) from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. We lived there for seven years when I worked for Nortel Networks in a variety of Senior Information Technology positions. Got nailed by this High Tech down-turn in 2001. Still trying to find something steady again. I'm about an hour from Boston and three hours from NYC. If anyone from CPHS is around, email me and maybe we can get together some time. I've added my name to the Cross Country web site and would love to hear from any of the guys from the Cross Country (1973) and Track and Field (1973 - 1976). Who can jog my memory as to who the coaches were back then? I don't have a yearbook. I'd enjoy hearing from any of you. PS: I have been looking for two people over the last decade in order to find out how they are doing. Charlie Williams (a Hawaian guy several years older than I) and Robert Cline (a year or two younger than I). They lived in my neighborhood and and we hung out a lot together. Just wondering where they ended up. TIA.

- Message: I am so glad to see more people joining the alumni directory. I often wonder about so many of you. I am having a great time in life. I married my childhood sweetheart. Tim and I have been married almost 19 years. We have 6 kids. Danny 17, Steven 15, Tina 12, Kaycee 11, Breeann 8, and Jessica at 6 is our baby. I have been blessed enough to be able to be pretty much a stay-at-home mom except I have continued to work on my education. I will soon have my degree that will enable me to do the one thing I have always longed to do. I will be working with several different hospitals as a social service provider. They call me in when they have a woman going through a miscarriage or dealing with the loss of a infant at birth. I have a lot of experience with this situation in my own life and feel it is a much needed type of support. I would love to hear from any of you. God bless.
