I married in 75, divorced in 78 (No fireworks), remarried in 78 (found lots of fireworks!!) just celebrated my 21st anniversary. I have 3 kids (stepdaughter) daughter Linda-age 30 (bookkeeper), (stepson) son Clayton-age25 (bum), and son Joshua-age 20 (trying to find himself). We have 5 granddaughters and we adore them--they are what having kids is all for!! (no boys yet). My husband works in produce and I've been with the Post Office the last 14 years (before that I worked in food service for the school district (Southwest High and Hilltop High) and The Old Bonita Store Restaurant). We live in Santee and it's starting to get a bit crowded. We have a dog named Emily who is a big pain but we love her. We love the Padres and go to as many games as we can. We like to go to the movies. I can't believe how many years it's been since high school but I do remember having a ball at our 10th reunion. I guess our 30th (?!) is next. Wow. I hope everyone is doing well and happy, I know corny but hey I always was a little. Gotta run. I only check my email about once a week as I work on a computer all day and the last thing I do when I get home is check my computer but I will answer you in time. Hail the glorious days of ember...

- Message: Hi Everyone! I am still living at the same place and in one of the best financial investments I ever made considering how property has skyrocketed in the last two years! Thought I should update this since we had our 30 year reunion and it was sure great to see everyone that was able to make it. I am still "divorced" and it was the BIGGEST blessing in disguise since I now have my true "soulmate" in my life. If anyone remembers his long hair from the reunion, well, it got donated to "locks for love" for kids with cancer to make wigs for them. The long hair and the commercial diving school just didn't do well together. He still looks like a baby (which he is). We just couldn't be happier....motorcycle rides, the boat, the motorhome and his desert "toys" keep us pretty busy outside of work and school. We have a cruise planned the end of this year after "graduation" and he has managed to stay on the Dean's List since he started last October.
Megan is now 19 and she is currently serving in the Air Force (smart choice, if I do say so myself) which makes her the second generation female to serve. We were fortunate enough to get to see her graduate from basic training (Lackland AFB, Texas) in Sep. 2003. She is in "misery" (Missouri) working on the Stealth bombers. She misses home and her brother, and calls frequently just to hear the sound of the dogs "singing". Joey is working two jobs, both of which he loves (he loves umpiring the best) almost as much as his car. He stops by often to visit since he lives in the Santee/Lakeside area. And even though he is almost 27, he still loves to play softball - EVERY weekend. Since my sister and her kids have homes and live in the S.D. area, we always get together for holidays or "just because" to catch up on each others families.
I still work for "the greatest place on earth" but I now get to work from home...NO TRAFFIC and I can work in my PJ's at 5 a.m.! Feel free to email me...I'd love to hear from classmates! And I am especially looking forward to our 40th reunion!!!Maria "Mary" Calvillo (now Schmidt)

- Message: Wow... How did we get here? Just yesterday we were still in school. Now we're watching our own kids graduate. Well, some of them anyway. I still have two more children to see wear the tassel. My daughter Tiffany is 17 and will be graduating next year. My son Shane is 14. He has a few more years to go. My other daughter's, Marie and Sarah, are grown adults with husbands and families of their own. My eldest son Israel, is still single, but content, living on his own.
I got married straight out of high school (well, April of 74) to my high school sweetheart, David Perez(73). We had a son, Israel, and 2 daughters, Marie and Sarah. Divorced husband #1 when Sarah was 6. I remarried, had Tiffany and Shane, then divorced husband #2, a Navy man from North Carolina. He remarried and moved to Florida.
I moved to Oregon for a slower pace of life and to bring my children up in a small, rural community. I love it here. I've been here since 1994. I'm single, content, happy and truly blessed with such loving, funny, creative and talented children. Actually, I'm double blessed because I have 2 grandbabies too! Isac(2) and Elijah(3). They are my bonus reward for having children!
I work for the school district in an Early Childhood Intervention Center. Basically, it's an alternative High School with a young parent program. I work with infants, toddlers, and their teen age parents. A very fulfilling field for me. I love working with kids of all ages, and have done so for many years. But none of my past jobs have comapared to this one. I feel a real sense of belonging here, and very needed. My staff is wonderful and great at what they do.
I also have a special, best friend, Mary. She is not only my best friend, but also my landlady, my roomate, and my right arm. If ever anyone needs a special friend, I hope you find one that's equivalant to Mary. Friends just don't come any better.
Besides Shane, Tiffany and Mary, I live with some feline friends too. Rali is 14. The old man of the gang. I love him to pieces. He's my buddy. Peaches (heavy sigh) just died of cancer about 2 weeks ago. She was 11 and the most beautiful cat I ever laid eyes on. She was my baby and I miss her terribly. Buddy is fat and fluffy. He's Tiffany's, and Spot is Shane's sassy cat. We also have 3 tanks of gold fish and betas.
Life here is good. My children and grandchildren are all so beautiful inside and out, I have job satisfaction, I'm still friends with husbands #1&2 (I have no regrets). I have the best friend in the whole world, I'm making plans to see my high school classmates at our 30th reunion. Can life get any better? I don't think so.Diane Guillen (now Johnson-Weisel)

Our son Jordan is 19 and is in the process of getting a medical discharge from the Navy due to a shoulder injury. He will attend school at MSU for the fall of '00. He really misses Michigan. Our daughter Melissa just turned 17 last week and is a junior, Our other daughter, Meredith, will be 11 on the 22nd and is in

it's size. One of the first people I met grew up in Chula Vista and Graduated from CV High. Then at Thanksgiving I found out that the girl I lived next door to on Oxford Street, Karen Derby, lives about 45

- Message: This year I am living in Lancaster, CA working in Palmdale at Lockheed Martin Skunk Works. I started here following a layoff from Boeing Aircraft (formerly McDonnell Douglas) in Long Beach, CA. That's the nature of this industry, so I may be working somewhere else next year. My kids are: Kyle (18), Tina (17), Steven (9), Robert (8), and Amie (3). Granddaughter: Marissa (9 mos.) See my web page for photos. I stopped getting married after the third time and finally figuring out that it's o.k. to be single. I've made some new friends and renewed some old friendships through the Castle Park Web Site. Thank you Andrew (Shaka) for your hard work in creating and maintaining the best site of it's kind on the web. I'm interested in hearing from any C.P. alumni, even if you don't know me, and I try to respond to all e-mails promptly.

- Message: It’s been about 5 years since I posted to this site, so time for a bit of an update. I’m still serving as a Christian pastor (after fourteen years in the Navy, both enlisted and as an officer, and a few years of seminary and teaching in Christian schools). After serving a church for ten years in Dallas, TX (1991-2001), I pastored a church in Port Washington, WI (about half an hour north of Milwaukee) for about two years (2001-2003). We then moved to Orange County, CA in January, 2004 in order to begin serving a church that meets in Costa Mesa, CA (Grace OPC), and here we are today. We actually live in Placentia, CA, for those of you who know the area. Linda (née McAuliffe, Hilltop High, 1973) and I celebrated our thirtieth wedding anniversary last year (2005), and our children all came home for a surprise celebration in July, including some wonderful time for all of us up in Big Bear. Our youngest child (now age 24) will be getting married in December, so that will pretty much close that period of our lives. We have gone from zero to six grandchildren over the past five years, age 4 to 6 months. We wish we lived closer to all the children and grandkids, but that’s in the Lord’s hands. We have a wonderful family and are blessed in many, many ways. If any of you out there would like to renew past acquaintances, feel free to send me an email.

- Message: My brother Frank passed away on December 5, 1997. His best days of his life was in high school when he was the football star and wore #1. I remember my home being toilet papered by the high school cheerleaders before a big game and I remember he use to give me all the candy from his locker from his secret pal before a football game. I think his girlfriend in high school was Debbie Johnston. Frank was such a cool brother!!!

- Message: Finding this site is great. I've enjoyed looking everybody's senior pictures up in the yearbook as I read your messages. So many success stories. But then what would you expect from Trojans? I have lived in five different states since high school. I worked for seven years, 1984 - 1991 as a Revenue Officer for the County of San Diego. Then at QualComm Stadium until my dad passed in 1995 leaving me in charge of our family's farming business. I'm on my way out of my third marriage (Good gravy, move over Elizabeth Taylor!). Just can't seem to get it right but I keep trying! But I have a beautiful daughter, Kyra, who is 26 and works in the Children's Waiting Room at the El Cajon Court, and a son, Davon, who is 24, got out of the U.S. Army last June and now works downtown at a furniture manufacturer. Both kids are from my first marriage. I have a granddaughter, Khylaya whom I helped deliver on December 5, 2001, and a grandson, Javon Lamar who made his entrance into this world on March 21, 2002. I'm currently living in Spring Valley. If anyone has heard from Inez Wooten, Heidi Hammer, Ann Sablan or Vicki Barrows, please email me. And if there's going to be a class reunion in 2003, count me in. I've missed all the other ones due to being out of state most of the time. But I plan on staying in the San Diego area until further developments.
